Biography

Dr Alshaer completed general medical training in Jerusalem prior to undergoing specialty training in nephrology within the east midlands training scheme.

Currently, she is completing her higher degree with University College London. Her main research projects are comparing the old and young transplant recipients in term of infection risk, particularly CMV infection and rejection rates, frailty pre-transplant and its predictive outcome, and B cell phenotype of elderly patients and its prognostic value.

Dr Alshaer is currently a consultant at the Royal Free London with a special interest in kidney transplantation in addition to post and undergraduate teaching.
