Biography

Ms Naomi Tan is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon working at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust and is the deputy clinical lead for ophthalmology. 

Alongside general ophthalmology for both children and adults, Naomi specialises in paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus (squints: including surgery), and adult cataract surgery. 

She is a dedicated and experienced paediatric ophthalmologist and a specialist in children´s strabismus (squints). She works closely with the orthoptists in the assessment of children´s vision and eye motility, cycloplegic refraction and their need for glasses, treatment of amblyopia (lazy eye), and all children´s eye problems. 

She trained at Moorfields Eye Hospital, where she completed her fellowship in paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. Naomi has worked as a consultant ophthalmologist at Moorfields Eye Hospital in the emergency department, treating urgent and emergency eye problems. She surgically manages patients, adults and children with eye trauma at the Royal Free Hospital, London.
