The infusion suite is designed to provide a smooth and efficient service in the management of the care of cancer patients.
It brings treatment closer to home and reduces the length of travelling time to and from the hospital.
The unit at Finchley Memorial Hospital is an open planned area with 17 treatment chairs. It is a nurse-led unit and there are no doctors on site.
It comprises of specialist trained chemotherapy nurses, healthcare assistants and an administration team.

Patients arriving for treatment must check in at the infusion suite reception.
A negative COVID-19 test result is required and must be carried out within the previous 24 hours to proceed with treatment.
Lateral flow test kits can be obtained by calling 119.
Only patients are permitted in the treating area — mask wearing is not required. Visitors/companions must wait in the waiting room. There is a pop-up café in the main entrance of the hospital.
If you are having scalp cooling, please bring your own hair conditioner and a headband.
A sandwich lunch is provided and hot drinks are served throughout the day.
Parking is free — make sure to enter your registration number into screens, which are located around the hospital, for three hours of free parking. Re-enter your car registration number into the screens before the three-hour time limit is reached if your stay is longer.
