Nurse-led vascular access service (NLVAS)
The nurse-led vascular access service provides elective line insertions for peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) and midlines across our trust.
It runs at the Royal Free Hospital from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy service (OPAT)
The outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy service allows patients who are otherwise medically stable, but require short to long term intravenous (IV) antibiotic, to be safely treated at home or in an outpatient setting.
It runs from:
- Royal Free Hospital — Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
- Barnet Hospital and Chase Farm Hospital — Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm
