All gifts to support our NHS staff and patients are coordinated by the Royal Free Charity.
To enable the safe management of deliveries of donated goods and meals, restrictions are in place on the items and quantities our hospitals are able to receive. Our staff are asked not to accept donations of meals being delivered to our hospitals that have not been processed by the charity.
Members of the public who wish to donate items should email the charity first, before making arrangements for dropping off gifts, so their offer can be assessed against the established criteria. If the donation is accepted, the charity arranges for the delivery of the items.

The best way for the public to help is to make a donation of the equivalent amount they are considering spending on gifts. Details of how to make a donation are included in the guidance.
