Experts from the Stroke Association will be on hand to take the blood pressure (BP) of patients, visitors and staff at the Royal Free Hospital tomorrow.
Raised blood pressure is the biggest risk factor for strokes and so the ‘know your blood pressure’ event is aimed at raising awareness and giving people advice about lifestyle changes which can improve their health.
The Stroke Association will be running the blood pressure stand next to reception on the ground floor of the Royal Free Hospital from 11am to 3pm on Tuesday 21 June.
Everyone who has their BP taken will get an explanation of their reading and a leaflet to take away with advice and information. People will be advised to see their GP if their BP is high or low and also be given advice about lifestyle changes which can lower their BP.
