David Sloman, chief executive, has praised the hard work of clinical and non-clinical staff as he officially opened the newly refurbished ‘theatre one’ at Barnet Hospital (BH).

Since 2015, the trust has been enhancing and upgrading our five main theatres at BH in order to continue to provide world class care to all of our patients.

Before cutting the ribbon on the new theatre, David hailed the efforts of the project management team and theatre staff, who worked together to ensure the works could move forward while theatres operated as usual.

David said: “This has been a real triumph of teamwork. This is not about the individual, it’s about a group of people and the end result is a new theatre with the equipment and the facilities needed to provide world class care to our patients.”

Refurbishment works will continue on the other four theatres at BH during the next two years.
