A drop-in centre showcasing plans for the redevelopment of Chase Farm Hospital has opened today giving patients, staff and the public the opportunity to learn more about the proposals.

The redevelopment hub, located in front of the Clocktower building at the hospital, will initially be open between midday and 4pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Visitors can inspect the plans, ask questions and leave feedback.

The hub has opened following Enfield council’s granting of outline planning permission for the redevelopment of Chase Farm Hospital at its planning committee meeting on 12 March. The redevelopment represents a major investment in the hospital, with the existing buildings set to be replaced with modern healthcare facilities.

David Sloman, chief executive of the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, said: "The launch of the redevelopment hub marks the next stage in a process of open engagement with patients, staff, visitors and local residents.

“I would encourage anyone with an interest in the redevelopment to drop in, examine our plans, ask questions and most importantly of all let us know what you think.”

The trust has also announced a series of tours around the existing site to explain the changes that will take place and provide a further opportunity to ask questions. The tours are open to anyone who would like to attend.
