This week is National Armed Forces Week and an opportunity for us all to show our support for our Armed Forces community. To all of our patients and staff who are currently serving troops, veterans, service family and cadets – we salute you.
Royal Free Hospital chief executive and chair of the trust’s Armed Forces steering group, Kate Slemeck, said: “Our Armed Forces community make such a valuable contribution to the Royal Free London and as a trust we are committed to supporting our patients and staff who serve or have served in the Armed Forces. We hold a silver award in the Ministry of Defence’s employer recognition scheme and our ambition is to achieve a gold award in the future.”
At the Royal Free London we are a proud signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant, a pledge that those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces and their families should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities where they live.
Show your support on social media by posting with the #SaluteOurForces hashtag. There is more information about how to get involved on the Armed Forces Day website.
